No one school model is a perfect fit for every student and every community. To diversify the learning opportunities available in schools and districts, Innovative Schools has compiled a Portfolio of modern, high quality, high performing school models. These models have a strong record of successful replication in public schools around the country in urban, suburban, and rural settings and are ready to be replicated in Delaware. Each can be implemented as a school-with-in a school or as a stand-alone school.
Innovative Schools’ research on new school models is ongoing and is conducted with input from Delaware educators and other critical stakeholders. Over the next 5 years, we plan to expand this Portfolio to include a variety of models from Kindergarten through high school. The models have complementary learning programs, and will build a cohesive K-12 education program and a network of unique, high performing schools across the State.
For schools or districts with a model already in mind, Innovative Schools can conduct the research and due diligence to ensure its fit for the school and community. Contact Dawn Downes to learn more at ddownes@innovativeschools.org
